About the Author

I’ve always loved to write. Picturing myself as the main character, I dive into adventures, anxious of what lies ahead, and eager to learn from my characters. At first, the stories began as dreams, so I kept a notebook beside my bed to quickly jot down whatever storyline poped into my head so I wouldn’t lose it shortly after waking. I try to write as often as I can, which can be difficult with working a full-time job and when life decides to throw you a curveball.

I’ve tried the traditional route of sending out query letters, but the only response I would receive is “thanks, but no thanks”. Eventhough this discouraged me, I kept going thanks to the support of my mom, my aunt, my daughter, and my ex-husband. Having them in my corcer kept me chasing my dream. In 2014, I decided to buckle down and get serious about my stories. After some research and speaking with a friend, I took the plunge into self-publishing. This isn’t an easy task because you’re solely responsible for every aspect of your book from its editing (I have a great editor) to book cover design (Lori is phenomenal) to marketing (which I’m horrible at). Along the way I’ve meet other indie authors and a great community.

My very first book, Wasteland, took over four years and three versions before it was published. Since then, its had a 10th anniversary re-release with a brand new cover and better story-telling.

Since my reading genres are so vast, so are the ones I’ve chosen to delve into. My books vary from dystopian to science fiction to fantasy and to paranormal romance. I love the diversity of the characters, the settings, and the drastic difference in imagination that you have to use so each world can stand on its own.
